Congresswoman Barbara Comstock (R-VA) released the following statement after the United States Senate passed by unanimous consent, H.R. 4661, the United States Fire Administration, AFG, and SAFER Program Reauthorization Act of 2017. AFG (Assistance to Firefighters Grant) awards and SAFER (Staffing for Adequate Fire & Emergency Response) grants help provide necessary firefighting gear and training to firefighters and emergency responders, among other critical functions. The legislation authorizes $750 million for both programs. The legislation will now head to the President’s desk for his signature.

The GW Medical Faculty Associates’ Mobile Mammography unit, better known as the Mammovan, will be in Leesburg on Sept. 21.

The Mammovan is coming to town.

U.S. Rep. Barbara Comstock’s office announced today that George Washington University’s Medical Faculty Associates’ Mobile Mammography unit will park in Loudoun Sept. 21 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The van, which offers one-stop mammography screenings, will be parked at HealthWorks at 163 Fort Evans Road, NE in Leesburg.
