Congresswoman Barbara Comstock Announces Winner of 10th Congressional District Art Competition
Sterling, Virginia – On Monday, April 30th, Congresswoman Barbara Comstock (R-VA) hosted the 2018 10th Congresswoman District Art Competition where she announced Riverside High School Senior Isabella Ventimiglia as this year’s Best in Show winner. The reception took place at The George Washington University Virginia Science & Technology Campus. The competition, which was open to all high school students who reside in the 10th Congressional District, received art from every region of the District. An independent panel judged each piece of art.
“Each year the student artists send in such impressive works of art and this year I was captivated by the exceptionally high level of skill and creativity on display at this year’s reception. I am pleased to announce that this year’s Best in Show winner is Riverside High School Senior Isabella Ventimiglia. Isabella’s art teacher, Augusta Dadiego, was in attendance to see the success of her star student. Isabella’s artwork will hang in the U.S. Capitol for one year so her talent can be seen appreciated by Member of Congress and visitors to our Nation’s Capital.
“Thank you to all the hardworking students and judges, and the supportive art teachers and parents for being an integral part of this outstanding competition and for inspiring the artistic energy that has impressed me and my staff so much.”
