Comstock On OPM Director Resignation
Washington, DC – Congresswoman Barbara Comstock (R-VA) issued the following statement on OPM Director Katherine Archuleta’s resignation:
“It is time to move forward and make sure the cyberattack that has affected over 25 million current and former federal employees and contractors never happens again. We also need more answers and information for the millions of Americans already impacted. The Obama Administration has failed to lead in combatting the constant threats America faces when it comes to cybersecurity. The federal government must be nimble and get on offense to detect, intercept, and stop these cyberattacks before they compromise sensitive information and threaten personal and national security. On the Research and Technology subcommittee, we will continue to look at different ways experts and the private sector can have an active role with the federal government in developing new technologies to combat the constantly growing cyber threat.”
